“Education is for improving the lives of others and for leaving your community and world better than you found it.”
- Marian Wright Edelman
Because of the heavy rain we’ve had this week, the land became all muddy, lush and verdant. Pak Brett, the Green Studies teacher, decided to use this to his advantage and took the fifth graders down to the rice fields to teach them more about the rice cycle. The kids loved planting their seeds while getting wet in the mud!
As always, we have so much exciting news to report. We’re thrilled to announce some amazing news from the High School department; two of our students, got into reputable universities in California! Make sure to check out the High School Jalan-Jalan programme as there are so many interesting activities about to happen. Just as exciting, news comes from our Bye Bye Plastic Bags team, who are about to host an MoU Workshop.
We’re also delighted to report that we have two new Green School parents joining our incredible team. They’ll be taking on the roles of Staff Support Counselor and Director of the Entrepreneurial Enterprise Programme. Last but not least, don’t forget to take a look at our CrowdRise campaign for our Local Scholarship Students. We have one more week to reach our goal. Let’s do this! Read on to keep yourself updated.
